Born Mark Marcus William Michael Rosenberg in 1957, Mark Wahlberg was born. I’ll remember the day I first heard about Mark, and how he made me feel when I first saw his face in Word Up! magazine. It was like seeing myself. It was like seeing my future, and the future of American music, lifestyle, body sculpting, faith, hope, faces, and music.
One of his first songs that touched me was “Playskools Ridin’” which if I remember correctly was about the Falklands War. A treasure. OUR treasure.
